Biofilms

Microorganisms can attach to surfaces or interfaces and organize in highly complex structures called biofilms. The discovery of microbial life organized in these complex structures has been recognized as a subject that is revolutionary enough that may transform the science of microbiology. The understanding of the importance of biofilms, how they develop and their properties are relatively recent facts; thus, this blog aims to contribute with this understanding.
